Who we are

This Is Better is a senior growth consultancy based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@thisisbetter.co.uk. We are the data controller for personal data collected through thisisbetter.co.uk.

What we collect

Enquiry and booking details: when you complete a form, build a Growth Economics snapshot, request a benchmark snapshot or book a call, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, work email, company and the answers you give.

Diagnostic intake responses: if you are invited to complete a Growth Diagnostic intake, your answers are stored securely and visible only to the consultant team.

Newsletter subscription: if you subscribe, we store your email address and the page you subscribed from.

Usage analytics: we run first-party analytics and Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which pages are read and which journeys convert. This records page views, approximate referral source (including UTM parameters) and a pseudonymous visitor identifier stored in your browser.

Email tracking

Emails we send (snapshot delivery, diagnostic invites, newsletter sequences) include a one-pixel image and tracked links. These tell us whether a message was opened or a link clicked, so we can follow up relevantly and measure which content works. Message identifiers are matched against our mailbox to record replies and bounces.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage rather than advertising cookies: a pseudonymous visitor ID and session ID for analytics, plus referral/UTM attribution. Google Analytics sets its own cookies under Google's terms. No data is sold or shared with advertising networks.

How we use data

We use personal data to respond to enquiries, deliver the snapshots and reports you request, run diagnostic engagements, send the content you subscribed to, and improve the site. Our lawful bases are legitimate interest (running and improving a B2B consultancy) and consent (newsletter and optional communications).

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except the processors that run this site: our hosting platform, our database provider, Google (Workspace email and Analytics) and Cal.com for scheduling.

Retention

Enquiry and lead data is kept while there is an active commercial relationship or prospect conversation, and reviewed annually. Analytics events are retained for up to 26 months. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict processing. Email hello@thisisbetter.co.uk and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link that stops future sends immediately.
